February 9, 2009  |  by Omar  |  Flos Angeles  |  No Comments

We want to give it up to our boy MANONE for throwing a hell of an event last Saturday night – the lines were out the door but once you got in – you realize why and know that it was worth the wait.  The artwork by these famously acclaimed street artist blessed the walls of the CREWEST Gallery with pieces that were only done with a sharpie – you’ll never see art like this anywhere else and even George Clinton helped with one of the pieces.  The event is going on til March 1st so make sure you head yourself to downtown and check it out for yourself.

MAN ONE X FLOS ANGELES @ Sugoi Life

October 10, 2008  |  by FA  |  Flos Angeles  |  170 comments

Our good friend Rich owner of Sugoi Life will be having the Grand Opening of his new 10,000 sq ft store located in Northridge Mall on Nov. 1st.  And with his new store he wanted to do something different – so he was generous enough to give us our own wall that we can bust anyway we wanted to showcase our brand – without any hesitation the first person that popped in our minds to do this for us was our good friend, MAN ONE – owner of Downtowns infamous CREWEST GALLERY.  Please come out to the Grand Opening to check out this phenomenal piece of artwork and all the other good stuff Sugoi Life has to offer.

The Vision…

The FA crew would like to thank MAN ONE for coming out and showing true heart for the FAmilia!

Crewest Gallery Presents: Syndrome

August 13, 2008  |  by FA  |  Events, Flos Angeles  |  No Comments

Syndrome’s “I Learned It By Watching You!” is an observation of the effects of mass media on the public. The show’s name was inspired by a popular, Reagan era PSA that aired on American television during the late 1980s. The concept behind each piece of art will range from playful satire to intense realism; each representing a different take on the influence media has on our lives and opinions. The execution is an intricate mixed media process bridging traditional art forms with digital tools.

Syndrome-comprised of artists Micah Hancock, James Larese and Mars Sandoval-began as an LA-based art collective showing in galleries in NYC and LA. Syndrome then went on to start a creative boutique under the same name. They now specialize in live-action directing for commercials, music videos and broadcast.
