BEAUTIFUL LOSERS celebrates the spirit behind one of the most influential cultural moments of a generation
In the early 1990’s a loose-knit group of likeminded outsiders found common ground at a little NYC storefront gallery. Rooted in the DIY (do-it-yourself) subcultures of skateboarding, surf, punk, hip hop & graffiti, they made art that reflected the lifestyles they led. Developing their craft with almost no influence from the “establishment” art world, this group, and the subcultures they sprang from, have now become a movement that has been transforming pop culture.
Starring a selection of artists who are considered leaders within this culture, Beautiful Losers focuses on the telling of personal stories. It speaks to themes of what happens when the outside becomes “in” as it explores the creative ethos connecting these artists and today’s youth.

Last night was an insane crazy good time as we celebrated the birthday of Cypress Hill’s very own Eric “BOBO” at the very elegant and low key VERDUGO BAR – it felt as if we landed in Amsterdam if you know what I mean – we met a lot of cool people especially the boys from NUAI they have many hats in the game and you’ll be hearing about them more in the near future. But damn we feel really bad for having such a good time that we forgot to take pics of the event – the only pic we got was with BOBO and our boy Chris after the second Jager Bomb BOBO slammed with us – good times – good times.
Sk8ology was a bangin event – the line stretched way around the block but nonetheless we got in and it was an insane turn out. The designs on these decks were phenomenal and everyone there was real chill. SK8OLOGY will also be displaying in September at the ASR Trade Show so if you are a buyer and you missed this past event make sure you go check them out then.

As the 2008 Beijing Olympics came to an end, Nike released their final GOLD medal with the “Closing Ceremonies” limited Air Force 1’s. These are a dope colorway to go nice with your FA Gold Chain.
